I had to dig in to find out this info just yesterday. What I need to know now is, what's the 'Compose' key? The compose.inc.gz file points to 125 and shift altgr ... = ...
I cannot figure out where it is? I try all combinations of Apple plus shift, plus that.. what saint should one pray to so that the compose key works? I don't understand the cryptic way that the keymap file work, so excuse my ignorance. also, why is it that the compose vim file has a name: vim-compose.inc.gz.. or something like that, instead of the more common: compose.vim.gz, so that one can just add a line like KBCHARSET=vim to /etc/sysconfig/keyboard and fix /etc/init.d/keytable so that it includes 'vim', meaning, in the case statement *vim*) KBCHARSET=vim ... and later after that where it says: loadkeys it will load compose.vim.inc.gz . That would be great for us Vim users who already know our diagraphs :-) Besides, those compose keys make sense since they can be typed in any order (just as in Vim), in case you forget which is the right order. enjoy vim users!
