Sound works just fine for me. It's just that ARTS is slightly broken. Go into the KDE control center. Go to Sound, Sound Server, Sound I/O and set the Sound Quality to 8 bits and ARTS will stop giving you that error. > The other thing I noticed is that in yellowdog the key controls/function keys > (volume, cd eject, screen brightness) work as expected. (Unless you're using F12 to map a mouse key and then I don't think it will). Also your contrast keys should already work the PowerBook handles that itself.
