My name is Toby and I reside in Eugene Oregon. When I heard that Mandrake was going to make a product for the Mac PPC I was thrilled. But my biggest problem was I didn't own a Mac PPC. Even so I got the download edition of PPC 8.0 and it set in the CD shelf. Well by the time I had tracked down a Power PC 8500 on e-bay, my first Mac by the way, Mandrake had released version 8.2. Thrilled I was again. I wanted to take part in the Mandrake/PPC experiance. Well, I'm learning alot about Macintosh's and it is quite a different world from the IBM clone world I live in.
My luck with getting PPC 8.2 installed on my 8500 isn't good. So my first question to you all is...is this the apropate place for me to post to get help? If not can you point me in the right direction? Thanks, -=toby
