Here's a typical bootstrap entry: 10: Apple_Bootstrap bootstrap 2048 @ 6341139 ( 1.0M) To get back to the installler Cmd-Ctl-F7 The installer should be able to format your existing hfs partition, as it does format the bootstrap, although 34MB is sort of overkill for a bootstrap.
