I've built these packages for 8.2/ppc there all up on my site here:
http://mirror.brain.org/linux/breser/ppc/8.2/

Upgrading via urpmi or rpmdrake is highly recommanded due to the
dependcies. You can add my site as a source via:
urpmi.addmedia breser http://mirror.brain.org/linux/breser/ppc/8.2/RPMS
with ../base/hdlist.cz

If you've already got it you'll want to update your hdlist files by
doing:
urpmi.update breser

If the club people want to grab these and put them up in unsupported
then so be it. I just basically nabbed the cooker RPMS and rebuilt them
for 8.2/ppc without any changes, typos and all.

Have fun!
