Black rock solid screen... The switch to VT7, with the -almost black- grey of the framebuffer console, then a light blink and black, when X is actually starting... No period. I've read some docs on the ati driver. The "Shadowfb" is an option that can be disabled. X fails the same way if I turn it off in XF86Config. So it's nothing significant. Bertrand Dekoninck
