Hello, I think I observed this on i586 once too:
My partitions are /, /usr, and /usr/share. These are on different hard disks. The Mandrake installer doesn't show the correct total free space (it only shows the space of hard disk 1). Thus, I cannot install all the packages I want. There should be a way to override Mandrake's free-space check.
