That's the only XFree config.  Everything else uses Xpmac, which doesn't
use a config file.  The "normal" fallback if none of the graphic
installation methods work is to do a text-based install and then deal with
X once you're system is up.

Yes you could alter that config file, but I don't know what to tell you to
put there off the top of my head, not having access to the hardware. As I
said, the radeon for the TiBooks was the first attempt at using XFree for
the installer. If you come up with a good modeline, I'll be 
more than happy to add it in.
