Very much so. I feel the BR are important if you want to build a distro for multiple platforms... The number of hatemails about the subject has gone down though (or I've become more carefull uploading "sensitive" packages). Some maintainers are very difficult to apporach, they don't apply the BuildRequires fixes I e-mail to them in private (somethimes sending the patch to cooker ML and putting them in the CC: helps). I was refering to them in the text above... Any idea's on how to get them to cooperate a bit more? I've been trying to work with them for over a year and their attitude hasn't changed at all. Even after I visited the MDK office in August 2001 nothing much changed, even though we agreed to cooperate. I think I migh push a few sensitive ones through next weekend and see what happens (for KDE: I'll need qt fixed first). I've been told before that I'd be blocked off of uploading some packages if I did it once more... Maybe it's time to see if it really happens.
