fdisk?  Normally pdisk is used on Macs.

No idea.  I've seen x86 folks reporting this, but the PPC installer isn't
tied to the x86 one, and since you're using the ISO, the installer itself
is essentially frozen. I don't see how updated RPMS themselves could
trigger this, but I can try a new install myself with the newest RPMs.
