it's new :)
it's the mdkinst directory in ext2 gzipped. As i am now able to handle big
ramdisks (just use ramdisk=32000 at kernel boot), it's gonna solve the ftp
install problem, and also the slow cdrom access-time problem, and last but
not
least the hd install from fat filesystems. Only problem it needs a lot of
memory
(12MB only for the ramdisk), add this to the 12MB minimum for the graphic
install :(
So, for cdrom install, i use the mdkinst_stage2 if memory is low (< 40MB),
and
the live mdkinst otherwise.
For ftp install, i use the mdkinst_stage2 in any case (no choice).
For hd install, i use the mdkinst_stage2 if
.../Mandrake/mdkinst/usr/bin/runinstall2 is not a link.
For nfs install, i use the live mdkinst in any case.
