I just attempted an install using the MDKINST.IMG files. It blew up.
Here are my observations (and them I'm off to bed. :>)
First when booting to a DOS 6.22 disk and you look at the files on a dos
partition, it only sees short file names. What I ended up seeing was
mdkinst~1, 2 and 3. Might I suggest they be named something more easily
understood, like MDKcdrom.IMG etc
Second, the english grammer has some trouble. I realize this isn't some
of your primary languages so, considering that, it is great. But... the
first thing I noticed was "What type of user will you have" I think you
meant to say "What type of user are you?" I selected expert and it
attempted to detect my SCSI host adapter. I also have IDE. Next I got:
An Error has occurred
Bad magic number at /usr/bin/perl_install/partition_table_raw.pm line 78
...propagated at /usr/bin/perl_intall/fsedit.pm line 53
I have a 4gb hd on primary master
13GB HD on secondary master
LS120 on Secondary Master
CDROM on Secondary Slave
2 SCSI drives on an Adaptec 2940.
I noticed some other pretty wild english in there but since I had to
reboot I didn't bother to write it down. Besides, that is nit picky
stuff and that is the easiest to fix of it all. <G>
