  I was wondering if it was how the ide devices are
set on the chain.  I duno, just a thought!
  Rick-- Were you able to make a bootable floppy or
were you denied as well?

I didn't attempt a boot floppy: I usually make mine after the installation
of all the stuff (It's the NT Admin in me), BUT.. let me check my ordering
of devices to see how my drives are connected.. (I know it shows up as hda
and hdc .. primary master and secondary master maybe?)
