Uh, no, a bad System.map won't prevent the kernel from booting. It will alter the functioning of modprobe and ps, but that's all (well maybe they use /proc/ksyms now). It has to be something else. You upgraded the RPM, OK, but did you modify your lilo.conf as well? -- fg # rm *;o o: command not found
