Hello, I just uploaded in /upload the new Midgard-1.2.1 and a new Apache 1.3.9-3, that has been re-compiled with the latest EAPI and shared memory module from Ralph Engelschall. There's also a new mod_perl that uses the shared memory. The midgard PHP3 engine is a 100% replacement for PHP3, except that it requires two very small packages: MySQL-shared-libs (42k) and midgard-lib (53k). I have tested midgard-php3 and it works very well in standard php3 mode! To activate the Midgard features, you only have to install mod_midgard, MySQL and midgard-data, and it installs, configures everything with an example site and an administration site. I *very strongly* suggest we remove the "standard" PHP3 and the MySQL_GPL packages, to avoid conflicts. What do you think? By the way, we should add midgard-php by default in the "Web Server" section of the "comps" file. Jean-Michel Dault [EMAIL PROTECTED]
