Ok guys this is what I found... and it works with the current kernel, its up
to Axalon, Bero
or the rest of the team to find out WHY?
As you do, all I have is a 56k modem right now... everytime I try to run pppd
I got a message
saying that it was NO 'ppp' support in this kernel.
It took me a while to figure it out, I change a couple lines in my modules.dep
file in
/lib/modules/2.2.13-11mdk/
those two lines are:
insmod /lib/modules/2.2.13-11mdk/net/slhc.o
insmod /lib/modules/2.2.13-11mdk/net/ppp.o
I ran'em in a terminal in that order and then
after typing those two lines typed 'pppd' again and it did work
It seems to me, like some script is trying to 'load' those two statements
(lines)
in the wrong order... if you check 'modules.dep they appear in the opposite
order.
I was so curious that I stated checking everything and came up with this...
so, the real problem is not lack of kernel support but the order the modules
are loaded.

Note: I hope this helps Axalon and Bero to figure out what is wrong, It must
be
something simple to fix 'I guess' ;-)
