+AD4- +AD4- Could someone also tell me what is device is /dev/pts and
char-major-108?
+AD4- +AD4-
+AD4- /dev/pts is the new ttys that comes from the Unix98 standard. it is
enabled in
+AD4- the kernel. and the module for char-major-108 is from the latest pppd and
is
+AD4- made for the 2.3 series of kernels.
+AD4-

I don't know why the ppp0 binds to the /dev/pts/1 device. Suppose the pppd
will execute the script, +ACI-/usr/sbin/pppoe -I eth0+ACI- when it is running and
bind to interface eth0.

+AD4- ps. Can you PLEASE stop using that font windows-1252 or tell me where to
get it
+AD4- as I get an error message everytime a message originates from you.
+AD4-

I am using Microsoft Outlook Express 5.0 (Traditional Chinese) to send out
the email. May be that cause the problem when you read my mail. Now I
have changed the font to the unicode and hope that it will be ok for you.
