Yup... well.... there's only one way to find out, right?? Compiling is
the
first step, and then try to run them... my concern right now is trying
to
get the "base" OS to compile, and eventually run. The base shouldn't be
so much different from RedHat 6.0's packages (a bit newer maybe)... so
we can also use them to see how they pulled it off...

There are tonnes of those... ;-)

Use the source... I beleive that most intel, alpha and sparc
packages compile from the same src.rpm. Only some src.rpm's
are made specifically for the platform... Then it's down to
looking through the patches. I know it isn't going to be easy.
