I regularly rebuild the C library so that exceptions can be passed through it. This is so I can call pthread_cancel() and have all the destructors for C++/Native Java/Ada objects on the stack called before the thread exits. I upgraded to Mandrake 6.1 from 6.0, and I discovered that -fno-exceptions is in the /usr/lib/rpm/rpmrc file for ix86 platforms. Anybody know why? Did this come straight from RedHat or is it a Mandrake bug/enhancement? Sorry if this message is a bit rough--I've been working all day to find out why -fno-exceptions was mysteriously appearing in my glibc compilation when running rpm -bb with my custom spec file. Thanks in advance for your help. -- George T. Talbot <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> P.S. Please CC me as I'm not a regular list subscriber.
