either

% rpm -root /mnt -i /tmp/stage2/Mandrake/RPMS/initscripts*

or

% cp /tmp/stage2/Mandrake/RPMS/initscripts* /mnt/tmp
% chroot /mnt
% rpm -i /tmp/initscripts*


but anyway, you shouldn't have this problem. Can you mail me the ddebug.log? (it
is in /tmp and /mnt/root)
