I used the Tulip driver for PCMCIA on my dell laptop, it seems to work fine.
So choose Tulip and try that out.

I installed Oxygen on my Toshiba Satellite 2595CDT, and the PCMCIA
was not autodetected. I noticed when I installed it at work on a Dell
Optiplex GX1 with CardBus it autodetected the CardBus. Is this a problem
with the PCIC implementation on the Toshiba? Just curious because I wanted
to install the Open SSH and Open SSL packages, but could not during the
install because I couldn't set up the networking without PCMCIA/CardBus.
