My Epson Stylus color 800 still does not work. This printer had worked
fine in the Mandrake 6.0 release. DrakConf Detetcs the printer and tells me it
has found it in /dev/lp0. I then seslect the simple Epson 800 Uniprint Driver
and then try to test it. It Doesn't work with neither Postcript nor ascii.
Stuff gets queued but never prints. The kernel gives me an "lp0 on fire
message" which I guess is kernel talk for the printer is not connected or
something. I am thinking this is a problem with how the kernel is configured
with the parport driver. But I am not sure. Anyone have any ideas??? Like I
said I am sure the printer is connected as Drakconf tells me what the printer
is.
