Well, I tried the latest CDROM image diskette from the mirror site (with a CD
I had burned a few days earlier), and I still cannot get past the CD detect
screen on my Micron Millennia Transport notebook.
To refresh your memory, the error reads:
in second stage install
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 111
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 111

line 139.

If I try the txt_boot.img boot diskette, it will get as far as asking for the
CD-ROM, and can never see the CD drive (Sanyo CRD-S58PMC).
I cannot use anything that requires a *second* diskette, as once Linux loads,
it cannot read from my diskette drive. It requires an extra directive (floppy=nofifo)
in order to work, and Slackware is the only distribution I have ever found that
would actually accept and use this directive.
So for now, there's nothing I can do to test this release.
