by the way if you want to unsusbscribe from cooker
send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Yann, first off I want to let you know I have not forgotten about the spam-resisting solution that I have promised you. Things have just been a bit hectic since getting back from Xmas. I will try to get that together for you this week. It is safe to assume you run your mailing list(s) on a Mandrake-Linux box right? :-)
But the point of this e-mail: instead of continually chastising people for sending unsub requests to the list (and I will concur with you and agree that I absolutely hate it too, but would rather employ some technology to deal with it) why not use a mailing list manager that can deal with it? There are a handful of MLMs out there that will re-route those "obvious" unsubscriibe requests that come to the distribution channel back to the admin channel. The best (IMHO) out there right now is Listar.

I like it better than MJ2 as it is not written in OO Perl, but rather C, which makes it easier for me to maintain, although with all of the *Drake stuff there written in OO Perl, I am sure the skills are at least close at hand to maintain MJ2.
Either way, it will stop probably 70+% of the unsubs that seem to make it into the disto channel, and unsub them for you, without distributing the unsub message to all of us.
