If I am trying a later installer boot diskette for 7.0, can I use a CD I burned about 2 weeks ago? Or do I need to burn another CD? (I cannot use a network/ftp install, because I don't think it supports token ring on the diskette.) By the way, speaking of diskettes: Why is it that Slackware is the only distribution that will accept the "floppy=nofifo" paramater at bootup, etc? It's supposed to be the only way to make my floppy work under Linux (which prevents me from ever using any installer that uses more than one diskette for bootup, such as a PCMCIA auxiliary disk). I would prefer to try the *graphical* installer, but even the text install would be nice if it would actually work. I have yet to see a graphical install that will work on my laptop (Micron Millennia Transport P133), and I'm concerned that soon I won't be able to find *any* distribution that will install on it.
