What version of mod_php are you using? The last one is 3.0.13-5mdk, built
for Mandrake 7, and is separated into 4 different packages.
mod_php3 The main package
mod_php3-manual Package documentation
mod_php3-imap Plugin for Imap
mod_php3-pgsql Plugin for postgresql
If you don't install mod_php3-pgsql, it doesn't require postgresql. If you
ever need support for it, install the package and it will configure
everything for you and restart your apache automatically.
