I have a problem with GNOME apps starting slow after updating RPMs.
Everytime gnome-core or gnome-libs gets updated suddenly there's a 5 - 10
second delay before a GNOME app is launched. I've fixed this before by 'rm
-fr ~/.gnome*' but I'm getting tired of always losing my settings. I've
never had this problem before when I used to use Redhat RPMs (the Mandrake
Cooker ones were out of date). I tried to download the source RPM to see
what patches were made to the tarballs, but it seems the SRPM is corrupted
or something because it won't install. I should also note that this is only
GNOME-ified apps (those which use gnome-libs) and not GTK+-only
apps...those are fine.

Anyway, I thought someone on mandrake-expert had a solution to this at one
time, but I could not find it looking through the archives. Any help would
be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
