Pixel,
Using my rpmfind.net server rsync mirror as at 2000 01 12 21 00 GMT to
install Oxygen (or is it now Air?) using hd.img on a floppy:

Still happens. More Boo!

User instructions still missing. More Boo!

Still does not happen. More Boo!

Now properly working! Good!

X is now working correctly! Cheers!
6A. The final step of install, following Configure X is still missing.
This step runs updatedb and makewhatis.

Still a big Boo! Networking info must be collected (and saved for later)
before 'Install system', becaue it affects the selection of RPMs to install.
8. Attempting to display the /mnt directory with a KFM window freezes KFM.
Previously reported twice. Big Boo!
Summary. Mandrake only partially installed. Install is still unable to
produce a useful, useable machine.
----------------
On my second machine (P5, 32Mb RAM, CD-R ATAPI IDE):
DrakX still freezes the whole machine, including the mouse cursor with the
SCSI devices LED lit amber, and before the dialog about SCSI devices appears.
Summary. Mandrake will not install.
BTW, both machines are happily running networked Mandrake 6.1 (After
manually setting the nfs daemon to start at boot).
