Alright look... Enough of this crap..... 1. Did no one else read the E-mail about 5 days ago or so that said there were problems with the unsubscribe system? a. Maybe some of you didn't notice but you can subscribe and unsubscribe from this list on the webpage, therefore meaning that you don't need to be at the same address b. The E-mail also said that if there were problems to E-mail someone at MandrakeSoft...this hasn't really helped, as I've tried to get off this list by mailing from this address, the address I'm trying to remove and the webpage 2. That nutty E-mail virus crap...funny....Here's this little trick in outlook tho....all your mail off the list is going to come via [EMAIL PROTECTED], set Outlook up to have a filter that filters all this mail into your trash...it's really not that difficult, and would save us all the time 3. This is a great list, and I've found it very helpful (despite my lurkful nature). I've yet to install Mandrake 7.0 as I'm kinda watching out for other people's problems, and examing whether I'd have them or not. I'm a newbie to Linux, and I started using Mandrake cause I found out that I could install it on a DOS partition. When this didn't work, I phucked up my DOS partition twice trying to get it on there. I finally have it on there, and have finally managed to get thins running relatively nicely. Sure, there's probs here and there, but whatever....you learn to deal. I have to admit, I've learnt quite a lot being subscribed to this list, and I've also realized I don't have the knowledge to argue this stuff with all of you...Believe me. I can really sympathize with John's complaint. I'm on a school LAN connected to the internet, so I get very quick E-mail downloads for one account, but the other....The other is slow as hell, and of course that is the one that's subscribed. I don't care which E-mail client you use, slow is slow. It's been very frustrating for me to have to constantly delete E-mail after E-mail...but I do it....because I'm hoping something that might help me know as much as some of the people on this list will pop up and save me headaches sometime down the road. Everyone just needs to relax, and unwind. I don't imagine that problems with a mailing list are exactly top notch on MandrakeSoft's problems coming up to Final Release, right? And there's no need to bash John for his comments, as out-of-place as they were. Ignore E-mail from him, and just let it be. Some people get frustrated quicker than others, and that's life. And believe me, he wouldn't be this mad if he hadn't tried repeatedly to get off the list. That's my two cents... If you don't like it.... Send it directly to me, not the list.... Don't need this thread to go on any longer, unless it actually has something to do with hd.img, right??? Thank you Brendan Kwolek
