'rpm --force --nodeps -Uvh compat-glibc-5.3-2.0.7.5mdk.i586.rpm'
had the same results. Also 'ivh' no luck

I got the rpms from two different sites.

What next? 

Actually Mozilla M12 is not too bad these days!;/)

It's strange really, here are many people having great
difficulty getting OFF the List and I have 
GREAT DIFFICULTY staying ON the List !!???

Ah well, thats Linux for ya, always something new
lurking in the tundra.
