Subject: [Cooker] dual boot

ok this may seem a bit stupid, but i am trying to set up a dual boot system, 98-linux and am having a real bitch of a time.
trid to install with fat32 and it won't let me. i have had to use ext2 file system,  and of course the dual boot won't access the the ext2 drive making the install useless. any and all help is appreciated as i am running on windows 98, 2000 rc2, and from what i have heard think i would like linux better. detailed help please.
