Congratulations to the AIR team, Mandrake Linux 7.0 really does all it said
it would!

Personal Good Points :-
1) GFCC on the CD - IPChains has never been sooo easy
2) ISDN Support in the kernel (not just with packages) The installation even
includes ifcfg-ippp0 AND ifcfg-isdn
3) DrakeCONF is real easy to use
4) Detection and installation really does excel.

Personal Wishes for 7.1 :-
1) Modem and network card installation. At the moment you can only choose
one or the other. And on a similar note the modem is not ifup'd, so no
crypto support is available. :-(
2) DiskDrake doesn't allow you to change the detected type without a
reformat - eg I have an ext2fs SCSI (sdd1) drive and DiskDrake detects it as
VFAT32. To change the detected type in DiskDrake it tells me that it's going
to have to reformat the drive. It was supposed to be /home on a previous
installation. I'd hate to see what my other machine with a drive dedicated
to /var is going to do! :-)
3) No option to easily select services (eg httpd imap snmpd etc) without
searching the whole list of packages to install. This is even on the Expert,
Server selections.

Thanks again to the AIR team, as two of the good points were requests to the
list from betas..

Regards,

Craig Foster
