Using mdk 7.0 iso d/l’d from rpmfind.net on ~01/12/00 using the
txt_boot.img diskette since the default install on cd-rom fails to find the
/root partition (it cannot read my 1 hdd which has the /root partition)! Package:

list, If “rpm –rebuilddb” fails to correct the problem. Install exited abnormally Sending termination signals …done Sending kill signals…done …do I need to continue on this scenario??? Trying again using the txt_boot.img diskette. (default cd-rom install still doesn’t recognize 1st

including allot errors pertaining to the “System.map” file. One other error stated “sound.o” or “soundcore.o”
error. Not all errors are listed
here and I did end up formatting the /root and /usr partitions and did a full
install instead. |
