Hi All!!

I've reinstalled Mandrake 7.0 (Air) and I've reconfigured it without
recompiling anything...

Ok the SCSI emulation is already in the kernel... but however i've been obliged
to do in /dev a
ln -fs scd0 cdrom2 (As someone suggested to me here in the list)
to let Supermount work... and now It reads Cds....

When I launch xcdroast (from root) the configuration seems to go ok... I've
also tried to burn a little image on a CD... and It's ok... but if I try to
copy an audio CD the program crashes...

In /var/log/messages when xcdroast starts I've noticed :

kernel: cdrom: open failed.
modprobe: can't locate module block-major-33
modprobe: can't loctae module block-major-34

It is not finished....:)

When I launch kppp and I connect to my ISP always in /var/log/messages... I
found
modprobe: can't locate modules char-major-108
Even if everything seems to work.... :-?

In Lothar I've tried to configure my SB-16 Pnp I gave the right parameters and
infact the SB works... but OPL3 at StartUp gives me: resource busy.... :-? So
now I'm unable to read midi files....
I found the same problem in Mandrake 6.0 and I notice that It is still
unresolved...:(

I remember that on Mandrake 5.2 sound worked good even with 'sndconfig', now...
with Mandrake 6.0/6.1/7.0 I've been obliged to give values for my SB
manually... and my MIDI devices doesn't work....:(

Ciao,
  Silvio
