Ahh!  I had the same problem with my CD-Writer after installing 7.0 (Air).
In my case, it was /mnt/cdrom2, corresponding to my CD-Writer.  A quick
check in /dev showed /dev/cdrom2 was a soft link to /dev/hdd, which would
be correct if it weren't for the "hdd=ide-scsi" passed to the kernel at
boot time.  By entering these commands, you should fix the problem and be
able to access disks in the CD-Writer:

cd /dev
rm cdrom2
ln -s scd0 cdrom2

You should, of course, replace "cdrom2" with the broken link in your
system.  Once this is done, you'll be able to access /mnt/cdrom2 (or
whichever it is).
