Using the kde enviroment, i accessed the dos partitions (win98) from mdk 7.0.

If i tried to make any changes to the file permissions, it would crash.

To resolve crash, locate the su window within the "TAsk Manager" and grab the
pid number. Open and command window and login "su" or as root. type:

kill [pid number here...usually 3 digit]

should close the window. i have had problems using xkill and etc. one wrong
button and everything froze!! the above is usualy the only way out.

Basicly, i was trying make some sort of link placed on my usual "user's"
desktop that would provide "read & write" access. (the link would point to
c:/windows/desktop....of course). Unfortunately, haven't figured this one out
yet (as with allot of other stuff).
