[Cooker] weird monitor blinking problem at login, help please

Hello All

I seem to get that again while i have had that before i just reinstalled, 
this time i hope one of u knows how to fix this ?

It boots after it show me the "dos" mandrake screen when  it wants to 
switch to the X login screen but it never does my monitor keeps blinking.

luckily i configured both nic's i understand i can use telnet from my other 
machine.
