I don't have the old 2.6 here. Mandrake crypto only has 6.x now. Is it known not to work with RPM? Then maybe they should go back to 2.x or at least put pgp 2.6 somewhere I can find it. I know it's elsewhere but I liked to use the mdk version if possible.
