Well, I've tried everything I can think of and I've got No Joy.
When booting, from MILO by way of ARC bios, it is loading the
/boot/instboot.gz mini image and attempting to get there, but it hangs after
the notice that it is enabling virtual addressing and jumping to the Linux
kernel. CTRL-ALT-DEL will get me back to the MILO prompt.
If I try it from the SRM console (Multia SRM Console BL5 V3.8-3 Built on
August 10, 1995...), then aboot will get to the point where it wants to
start the kernel and just hang. Last message from aboot is:
aboot: ok, now starting the kernel
and thats all she wrote. Incidently, the /boot/v.gz kernel will boot using
my RH 6.1 (for Alpha) / filesystem as its root.
