SysVDrake (come up with a better name?) would be cool, although I think the
purpose of HardDrake was more for hardware configuration, not
software/services.
I will say, though.. ntsysv and chkconfig are handy little tools to teach
beginners. Making a handy GUI one that is a combination of the two would be
great. A program that not only allows you to change the rc#.d symlinks
(ntsysv, chkconfig), but also allows you to start and stop services (a lot
of shabby ones out there), would be excellent.
I've seen a few in the past that just aren't what they could be. Mandrake
seems pretty good at making nice GUI programs, let's see what they can do.
