Traditionnaly ctags has always been tied with VI. ctags can be used on any
source file, whatever it has been created with. And these editors can use the
tags:
vi(1) and its many derivatives
emacs
CRiSP
FTE (Folding Text Editor)
Lemmy
NEdit
TSE (The SemWare Editor)
Zeus
So I guess it's time for ctags to have its own package.
Here is what I suggest:
- remove ctags-3.2-xmdk.i586.rpm and ctags-3.2-xmdk.i586.src.rpm from cooker
- Inform the ctags maintainer that its package just disappeared.
- make vim.spec generate a ctags-3.4-xmdk.i586.rpm from the vim sources
- make vim-common depends on ctags.
QA, could you do the first two steps, I'll do the two others.
