I tried installing 7.1 and failed to get it to work.
Try #1.
I already have Mandrake 7.0 installed, so I decided to install the beta on
another partition(i have a 27Gig 7200RPM IDE Maxtor on a K7M MB with an
onboard UDMA 66). The drive partitioned fine but the installer refused to
proceed with mesages("Mount point /dev/hda10 does not exist) or something of
that sort. No matter what I did, nothing seemed to work
Try #2
I decided to updgrade so I choose a Custom installation class, indicated my
root partion and installed. I picked HD optimisation and continued. The
upgrade took me 6 hours(thats ridiculous on an Athlon 600) and after that the
font server refused to work.
