I placed the 7.0 mandrake in the cdrom drive and rebooted and entered linux ide2=0xa400,0xa800 for a test purpose and it worked fine. So there seems to be some problem with the 7.1 beta installation, and ata/33 is not acceptable. Anyone with any other ideas that might work?
