okay first off
1 exactly which version of mandrake do you have
2 you are running this as root right?
3 where did the kernel source come from (rpm off cd or
kernel.org or...)
4 is this a clean copy or hacked?
just for giggles download the 2.3.99pre6 kernel and try that
(this will also solve any version problems)
