What do I download from the FTP mirror to run this check? The command below
seems to imply that I have a shell/telnet session to the mirror to run this
check.

i've just checked, sunsite.uio.no:/pub/unix/Linux/Mandrake-devel seems to have
it. other mirrors should come soon.
to check, do a
% strings /mnt/disk2/vmlinuz| grep BOOT
you should get 2.2.15-BOOT24
