OK, here is a more thorrow discription of the installation:
I recursivly downloaded the mandrake cooker installation with this
command:
rsync -av ftp.sunet.se::Mandrake-devel/cooker/ /home/rej/mandrake/
(/home/rej is my homedir on the server on my university. Had to do it
like this, since i could not get the ftp installation via proxy to work)
Then I created the bootdisk from network.img using dd if=network.img
of=/dev/fd0, and booted.
Looked fine so far, chose dhcp and ftp installation and set the server
to the university server, and the directory to /home/rej/mandrake. chose
non anonymous ftpserver (or something like that), got a screen were I
could type my username and pw to the server (which i did) and I could
specify a proxyname/port (left that empty).
It downloaded some stuff (installation files i guess), started the
installation in graphics mode. chose english setup, danish keybboard,
and some things, and it looked good until I got to the point right after
partitioning the hardrive, it bailed out saying that it could not find
the hdlist.cz2.
When I get home from the university today, I am going to try to download
it to my own PC, and try with a harddrive install, to see if that works.
If that works, that would eliminate the possibility of an error in one
of the downloaded files causing this error.
