I have some things to comment about todays cooker (installed using
hd.img)

1. The sound board does not run after install. The sound board is a
soundblaster 16PNP, IRQ=5 IO=220 and DMA=1,3,5 (Not completly sure about
DMA). First boot after install an error message about the sound board
appeared, upon next boot, no error messages, but still the sound board
does not work. Sometimes an error message about AUMIX appears.

2. When chosing medium sized icons in KDE, it uses lowcolor icons, same
error in mandrake 7.0. Small error, but still if it is easy to fix, it
would be nice.

3. This last point is a matter of taste. The mandrake installation
process is one of the best looking of all linux distributions. The
mandrake leaves one that impression until you log into KDE. That BeOS
color theme does _not_ look nice, i've installed mandrake on 7 of my
friends PC's, their reaction to that color scheme is like mine. You
could consider using either default KDE colors, or get the guy that
designed your installation program to make a matching theme, maybe for
each of the colorthemes chosable during install. But as I mentioned
before, it is a matter of taste.
