I'm actually pretty happy with 7.1b.
I had a problem with installing the crypto stuff during install, then I
found had no network connectivity. But both were readily solved
post-installation, and I've had more trouble with other distros that
weren't being called a "beta."
I've got ReiserFS, XFree 4, Windowmaker, and Gnome running, and it works
well.
The Windowmaker problem involved the icon in the dock that would normally
launch the config tool. It starts it, then I get an error message that it
can't find the WindowMaker version number, and it exits.
Running wmakerconf from an xterm solved most of that, although there seems
to be a problem with conversion of menus from old to new. (The first thing
it asks you to do...)
