Some initial observations:
- Have Creative Labs Annihilator Pro (Nvidia Geforce DDR) and the install of
the beta 7.1-2 i cannot setup the x-server at that time. It displays no
resolutions and can't find any even tho i change the monitor/video card types.
To work around, boot the fresh new o/s and reconfigure it using
"Xconfigurator". Works fine but unknown if it used a config file for nvidia
geforce or generic svga.
- Nice printer setup, tho i did connect my printer by usb cable now (to save
irq's), but will try the Brother - HL1240 setup sometime by quickly attaching
the parallel cable.
- LS120 floppy drive works nicely! glad to see you guys finally engineered
the small kernel fix for it. although this is only initial veiws.
- Don't know if the sblive is setup right yet. Usually on boot-up the
line-up activates signifying it's active. Have to look at this more.
- Yea, install by way of a scsi cdrom (using adaptec 152x interface) will
not work at all. But i can configure it w/o further problems when the
install process is activated. you still cannot install from it tho since the
new cdrom.img (7.1-2) won't find it (aha152x=0x340,11,7)....so install by ide
cdrom and then once the install process is started (keyboard config, setup
prefs, etc) then have the install process detect the scsi interface. (i've
tried my best here to clarify!)
