[Cooker] ark and tar in kde bugs

In LM6.1 when using KDE if you clicked on a tar file it opened it
properly. Since then in LM7 and LM7.1b it opens up but has garbage
directories only. What happened to this?

Also when using ark, occasionally after quitting from it ark is still
running using up heaps of cpu time when checked with ktop and I have
to kill the process.
